Trek Across Canada
Follow our move across the country from New York to Alaska, with 5 dogs and a school bus in 2002.

The roads were very icy. We had chains for the car, but they were incredibly difficult to put on. It was best to wait for the snow plow/sander to come by, and then saddle up.
The rest stops were just plain slabs of gravel with a bear-proof dumpster. Winter was apparently dissatisfied with the trash p0licy:
